JOHNNY: Have you had one of these oranges? They’re incredible. (He picks an orange from the tree, slices it in half and eats it) Hhmmmmmmmmm. They’re intoxicating.

(Nelly eats an orange. She reacts as if electricity has shot through her.)

NELLY: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They make you dizzy!

JOHNNY: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

NELLY (Intoxicated): California is clean. And bright. And modern. And sleek. And do you think everyone in Los Angeles has an orange tree growing out of their living room floor . . . ?

JOHNNY: I got it! I’ll strip to my shorts. I’ll put on a blindfold. I’ll play the guitar . . .

NELLY: In the middle of the afternoon?

JOHNNY: . . . you can sneak up on me, throw me on the floor, and put that delirious tongue of yours to work.

NELLY: But we have work to do, beautiful. Money to make.

JOHNNY: Give it a break, Nelly. How about this? You tie me to the hood of the red T-bird and lick me till I’m senseless.

NELLY: Hmmmmm, that sounds like fun . . .

JOHNNY: You know what’s fun? Pour the orange juice on your skin. The feeling is incredible.
